A new robotic bassinet by Yves Béhar is triggered by crying to rock babies back to sleep with a motion mimicking the womb.
The Snoo underwent five years of testing and design, as well as collaboration with baby book author Harvey Karp, to ensure that the design was sleek and cutting edge.
With microphones, speakers and sensors built into the body of the crib, Yves calls this design a “smart sleeper”, utilising technology to assist with parenting by detecting noise and restlessness, triggering the crib to rock the distressed baby back to sleep.
This gives parents a little more time to rest and helps comfort the baby in even the most temperamental times.
“As a father of four children, I am intimately familiar with sleep deprivation,” explains Yves. “It is more than a burden – it can quickly become a health problem for both parents and the baby.”
An app also lets parents track sleep patterns and syncs to your smart device, for constant peace of mind.
