Feel as though your exterior walls cry out for a fresh coat of paint (again!) every time you look at them? Local paint company Duram has the solution.
Where the harsh South African climate meets general wear and tear, grubby, faded exterior walls are the inevitable outcome. Enter Duram: a local paint company that recently introduced their self-cleaning exterior wall paint featuring groundbreaking nano technology.
A first in South Africa, the paint uses advanced nano technology to develop a dynamic, protective molecular layer that stays clean year after year. The self-cleaning nano particles are continually energised by the sun’s UV rays, even on cloudy days, to loosen and decompose dirt, mildew, fungi, algae and pollution.
Ideal for the South African environment, the nano particles offer excellent protection against our extreme conditions – specifically the damaging effects of the sun’s UV rays – to ensure that walls stay vibrant long after painting.
In addition to NanoTech’s enhanced weather protective qualities and self-cleaning nature, the paint has an inbuilt hardness, is scrub resistant and requires little maintenance.
Duram has designed a pure acrylic formulation with a smooth matt finish that resists fading and chalking and bridges hairline cracks and minor imperfections, with an eight-year guarantee.
The paint is also kind to the environment and works with nature to self-clean. NanoTech is water-based, non-toxic, lead and heavy metal-free and contains no added harmful ingredients.
The NanoTech range of paints is available in White (which can be tinted), Coral, Nevada, Desert Sand, Wheatfields and Burnt Clay and is priced from R899 to R950 per 20 litres.
