What To Expect at 100% Design South Africa

100% Design South Africa will be held at the Gallagher Convention Centre in Johannesburg from 5 – 9 August 2016 from 10am – 6pm. Here’s what you can expect at one of the country’s top talent showcases.

A variety of installations and projects will be on display for your perusal, featuring some of the best curated local products and creations. Expect brands from the residential, hospitality and office decor and design industries to inspire.

100% Colour

This showcase expresses the impact that colour has on mood and how it conveys message and meaning in everyday life.

Plascon 2016 Colour Design Awards

Young designers compete to transform a dull building into a bright and imaginative space using colour. The top 20 will be exhibited at 100% Design South Africa and the winner will receive a trip to London Design Week, worth R40 000.

100% Textiles

Expect a mash of vibrant photography and fabrics celebrating Africa.

100 Beautiful Things

One of the most popular exhibitions at 100% Design South Africa, 100 Beautiful Things is a curated list of striking objects designed and produced locally.

In the latest issue of the magazine (VISI 85) we’ve rounded up a sneak peek of some of the amazing works you can see at 100 Beautiful Things.

Tickets to 100% Design South Africa give visitors full access to Decorex Joburg. Tickets for adults cost R110. Tickets for pensioners and students (with a valid student card) cost R90 and children’s tickets (under the age of 12) cost R20.
