French photographer and artist Philippe Echaroux has created the world’s first “street art” project in the Amazon rainforest.
Using nature as his canvas, Philippe projects images of the local Surui tribe onto the the forest’s trees and foliage. As he explains in the video above, Philippe’s main aim is to create art that has meaning, that has a message. With this project, he wanted to focus on deforestation and the importance of the Amazon rainforest’s survival.
