Elliot Schultz’s series of embroidered discs are in the shape of 10″ vinyls. When “played” on a record player (in conjunction with synchronised strobe lights), his animated scenes are brought to life.
From walking mice to hypnotic patterns, the revolving discs were created as a live exhibit with interchangeable records to encourage viewers to interact with different facets of animation.
He completed the installation as part of a project at the ANU School of Art in Australia.
