The new ARTEM Galleria in Sea Point features a parking-lot-cum-urban-art-gallery in a collaborative project by dynamic street art crew, Visualz Khorr.

A first in the world of luxury Capetonian retail centres, the former Adelphi Centre will showcase an extensive graffiti mural that spans across the entire parking area of the shopping centre. The fresh and edgy designs are the brainchild of Pretoria-hailing street artists Lethlogonolo Mathabe, Sam Shaba, Tebogo Qhingana, Patrick Rulore and Khutjo Tsebe that form Visualz Khorr.

The ARTEM Galleria, set to be completed in February 2018, is to host the prestigious ARTEM Gallery, curated by Eugenia Chapman Campbell. Eugenia spotted Visualz Khorr on Facebook and commissioned the group to transform the once dreary parking lot walls into a vibrant and visually arresting street-style art gallery.

President of Da’Realty Ahsan Darvesh explained that although graffiti and luxury retail are a seemingly strange partnership, their aim is to help promote the work of emerging artists of all practices.
