Textile artist Victoria Villasana, who hails from Guadalajara, Mexico, decorates photographs with colourful criss-cross embroidery.
Before making her mark in the world of street art, she studied design at ITESO University in Mexico. Her latest collection of colourful work, inspired by contemporary human relations in our digital landscape, has been created on black and white photographs of iconic musicians, revolutionaries, royalty and artists.
She’s worked on images of Queen Elizabeth II, Angela Davis, Nina Simone, Frida Kahlo, and more.
