Athens-based architect Katerina Kamprani makes bad design fun with her quirky and aesthetically annoying collection of deliberately inconvenient everyday objects, titled The Uncomfortable.
A failed industrial design student, Katerina’s goal for The Uncomfortable collection is to deconstruct the invisible design language of objects we use every day.
By changing the fundamental properties of simple objects such as cutlery, a watering can, mugs, stairs, chairs and keys and making them extremely uncomfortable to use, Katerina aims to encourage people to appreciate the complexity and depth of interactions we have with the simplest forms of design.
