The 2018 American Express Winter Sculpture Fair, formerly known as the NIROX Winter Sculpture Fair, will take place from 12 to 13 May 2018.
Curated by Artlogic, the event, now in its sixth year, takes place at the NIROX Foundation Sculpture Park in the Cradle of Humankind.
Under the theme “Not a Single Story”, inspired by writer Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie’s quote “Dangers of a single story”, this year’s fair boasts an impressive lineup of artists and sculptors, including renowned multimedia artist Yoko Ono, who will be exhibiting her work in Africa for the first time. Local artists include Mary Sibande, Zanele Muholi, Claudette Schreuders and the iconic Dr Esther Mahlangu.
Visitors can also expect gourmet food and fine wine from the Franschhoek Valley.
The 2018 American Express Winter Sculpture Fair runs from 10am until 5pm daily on both 12 and 13 May. You can purchase tickets online via tixsa.co.za (children under 12 enter free).
