Who knew that such a discreet looking lamp could draw this much attention? The EQUO light, designed by Koncept Lighting, has won multiple design awards – with good reason. It recently received the ‘Top Product’ award at the 6th Annual Interior Design Best of Year 2011 Awards.
Made from aluminium alloy with its ultra-thin arm and linkage rod, the light is easily adjustable. It takes nothing more than a swipe down the touch-strip to control the brightness. Apart from being environmentallly friendly, the LEDs last 50,000 hours and consume only 6 watts of energy. The light comes with warm white and daylight white LEDs and can be made to automatically switch off when you leave the room.
It is no surprise that this sleek, eco-friendly product walked away with awards from prestigious competitions like the 2010 Chicago Athenaeum’s Good Design Awards, 2010 Spark Awards and 2011 Bloom Awards. In early 2011, EQUO was honored with another two top awards: the 2010 ‘Best In Class’ Award from NGL , and the Red Dot Product Design 2011 Award.
