Our national airline SAA has upped its game in more ways than one, and what really blew us out of the water is the brand new designed interior of their fresh out of the box A320 fleet. And if that’s not enough, they’ve also teamed up with glamorous online shop Miles for Style to offer Voyager Miles to shoppers for every purchase made online. We love that flying proudly SAA puts travel in our pockets while we shop ‘til we drop!
Designed by Priestmangoode, a leading international travel and transport company, the new look interior of the narrow A320 fleet all out reflects our very own Mzansi spirit; the vibrant colours, patterns and textured surfaces are as warm and friendly as the rainbow nation it represents.
This gorgeous new look is part of a larger project that addresses SAA’s overall image − wherever passengers are faced with it – be it onboard or on the ground. According to Luke Hawes, director of Priestmangoode, this fab fresh look for the new fleet will eventually be extended to brighten up the interiors of the rest of their aircrafts. “It’s absolutely to SAA’s credit that they approached both specialist designers and branding consultants,” says Luke. “This is a significant step for the airline. The new look is one of sophisticated elegance with colour, pattern and material highlights – the timeless interior displays confidence and comfort.”
Another style step out of the box for SAA is their teaming up with online shop Miles for Style, which offers their passengers Voyager Miles for every purchase they make at the online shop. The designer products to choose from here range from wine, jewellery, clothing and luggage to luxury bush getaways. Even services, like organising your wedding day, are available and will put air miles straight into your pocket. It doesn’t matter if you’re not a Voyager member, you can shop anyway but, if you want to become a member, it’s as easy as signing up on their site and start dreaming about that trip to somewhere exotic.
More good news is that soon the Miles for Style shop will offer shoppers StyleMiles of their own, which can be exchanged into Voyager Miles if they so prefer. Phew, shopping that gives you wings – now we’ve heard it all!
