Johannesburg artist Glen Josselsohn, well known for his distinctive contemporary art, is showcasing his latest work in an exciting exhibition in Mellville, Johannesburg, later this year.
Josselsohn is used to painting on Fabriano paper, using silk dye, ink and a paint compound. With his new collection, the artist has now turned his attention to large canvases as an alternative to paper, and is looking forward to experimenting with the drip technique on a new scale.
Presented by Entropy, the “Rhythm & Motion” exhibition is to be held at Upstairs @ Bamboo in Melville from 27 May to 4 June 2011.
For this exhibition, Glen has chosen to focus on movement and, in particular, dance. Visitors can expect to see pieces that showcase his fluid and spontaneous style, and a continued exploration of his hallmark, monochromatic figures in motion.
