The Milan Furniture Fair is still fresh in the design community’s memory and already it’s time to start revving up for 100% Design, which will turn London on its head in September.
Get your credit card ready, because registration for the 2011 event has just opened. VISI is, of course, first in line to make sure that we’re there to bring you the latest in cutting-edge contemporary design (the rest of the team is feeling quite envious, as art director Etienne Hanekom is the lucky one who gets to go this year!).
100% Design attracts architects, interior designers and industry insiders from across the globe with its annual array of innovative furniture, lighting, textiles, and interior fixtures and fittings. It’s a fantastic place to seek out original, new designs from an exciting mix of emerging and established talent.
The exhibition is aimed at design and architectural industry professionals but students can also attend on the Saturday and Sunday, with the general public able to visit on the Sunday only.
Be sure to block out 22 to 25 September in your diary for this not-to-be-missed event. An entry badge will give you unlimited access to all three shows (100% Design, 100% Futures and 100% Materials), and entry is free to the trade who register online no later than 20 September.
Design-lovers will be spoilt for choice, since the exhibition coincides with London Design Week, which offers plenty of creativity-fuelled events, design routes and fringe shows, including Tent London.
