WORDS Mary Garner
The Pichulik Capsule Collection, a striking new range of jewellery, is now available exclusively at Weylandts.
Made up of six necklaces and five bracelets, all grounded in neutral tones, the sculptural pieces by Cape Town-based jewellery designer Katherine-Mary Pichulik make use of natural elements, reflecting the raw, earthy aesthetic often associated with Weylandts.
“We looked to Weylandts’ design DNA, their use of metallics and contemporary African lines, their interesting use of texture evocative of the Southern African landscape, and incorporated these elements into our Capsule Collection in the neckpieces’ bold silhouettes and accent beadwork,” says Katherine-Mary.
From bold, larger pieces to more delicate designs, the versatile range has been created to complement the TM Collection at Weylandts, the eclectic fashion range designed by Teresa Martins since 2013.
Pichulik was specifically chosen for this collaboration in order to create authentic pieces that are distinctly African.
“The bold, inspiring designs with an emphasis on quality and craftsmanship are a natural fit with the Weylandts brand,” says Kim Smith, Director at Weylandts.
The Capsule Collection is now available at the Weylandts Green Point store and will be available in Gauteng later in the year.
