The Persona Art project, started by Shayne and Ant Vervoort, has adapted the iconic world-wide bathroom symbol into a versatile collection of characters.

“We are all so different and unique as people, and yet across countries and cultures, we have similarities that tie us all together,” explains Ant. “That’s what Persona is about: being wonderfully similar and beautifully different.”

The technicalities of producing one of these recognisable characters can be complicated – Ant’s first image took over a year and a half to produce.
