Pantone Airbnb: Outside In

Airbnb and Pantone have teamed up to bring to life the Pantone Colour of the Year 2017: 15-0343 Greenery with the creation of a lavishly leafy haven called Outside In.

Outside In sees the total transformation of one of the apartments in London’s Clerkenwell to resemble a liveable and rentable Airbnb version of the Pantone Colour of the Year. The warm and zesty yellow-green was chosen for its ability to speak to our human desire to disconnect, replenish and energise. The partnership with Airbnb to bring the colour to life speaks to the holistic view of travel, community and a promotion of a connection to nature no matter where we go.

The apartment’s interior sees the outside literally come in and features a picture perfect woodland reception complete with a “groundskeeper” that offers guests a freshly prepared juice that is colour matched to the Pantone Colour of the Year, an indoor greenhouse-cum-dining room, a garden-bedroom carpeted in freshly mowed lawn, plants and topiaries, a tented cubbyhole for kids to slumber in and a herb garden kitchen.

The apartment will be available to rent through Airbnb for overnight stays between 27 – 30 January 2017 and offers the ability to forage vegetables and herbs from its walls, sip tea laden with fresh leaves picked from the hydroponics installation and enjoy the gentle acoustics of nature throughout its tranquil green surrounds.
