Niharika Hukku’s Ceramics

Niharika Hukku creates beautifully painted ceramic vessels inspired by animals, nature and the elements.

Recently featured on the Instagram blog, she has been receiving a lot of attention for her skilfully crafted porcelain and delicately detailed brushwork.

She relates her artworks to her childhood. “Ceramics has an ancient history in India where I was born and brought up and is used commonly in function and as art.” Her earliest memory of ceramics are ‘Kulhars’ (unglazed earthenware tumblers) that are used to drink sweet tea at train stations.
