Folks, exciting news: a new batch of exquisite decor accessories – from some of South Africa’s top artisans – has just been unpacked at OKHA in Cape Town.
Pair some of OKHA designer Adam Court’s contemporary furniture pieces with sparkling glass “glaciers” and platters from master glassblower David Reade, or with one of Adam’s Solar mirrored screens, which light up from behind.
One of our favourite new ranges is Lisa Firer’s new Marble Cylinders. Fans of the Cape Town ceramist will delight in this unusual collection featuring charcoal vessels with pops of ice-cream colour.
Be on the lookout for Guido van Besouw’s decanters and Samantha Morgan’s sculptures – all of which make for statement coffee-table pieces. And if you revel in mock taxidermy, pop in at OKHA’s showroom in Hatfield Street to view the expertly crafted wooden skulls by Bronze Age.
