Mememe comes to Jozi

Joburg fashionistas, take note: one of Cape Town’s favoured designer emporiums, Mememe, is setting up shop in Parkhurst.

The Cape Town store, which is now in its 10th year, is owned by artist and fashion designer Doreen Southwood. Doreen has partnered with fashion blogger, journalist and style advocate Missmillib to bring fresh fashion to Gauteng.

The store will stock popular, established labels such as Black Coffee, Doreen Southwood, Ida Elsje and August as well as emerging designers such as Christopher Strong, Take Care, Selfi, Kimbo, Adam and Eve. Fabric and accessories from For The Love Of and Dear Megan will also be on offer.

It takes TWO

What’s more, Mememe will be sharing the space with popular design duo Caren and Gina Waldman of TWO, who’ll be retailing their garments from a store for the first time.

TWO will offer a range of basics as well as giftware, jewellery, accessories and homeware.

The new Parkhurst shop also boasts a beautiful backyard and swimming pool that Mememe and TWO plan to use as an event space and a chill spot for customers.

The store opens on 1 April 2001. Trading hours will be from 10am to 6pm on weekdays and 9.30am to 3pm on Saturdays. Address: 54 6th Street Parkhurst, Johannesburg.
