Mema Organic Petal Lamps

South African lighting design studio Mema recently launched a range of organic petal-inspired lamps.

Known for the geometric Ukhamba light fittings, Mema, a collaborative venture between business partners Ari Geva and Sian Eliot, is working on a new range inspired by organic shapes and forms.

The Petal Lamp, which is currently in production, references falling petals.

“This versatile product is the perfect piece to combine into a suspended cascade of shimmering light particles, to hang by your bedside in threes or on their own,” says the Mema duo.

The design can be used independently and can also be grouped together to create a screen.
