Painter and architect Lucie de Moyencourt travelled back to her country of birth to capture the 2016 Cannes Film Festival in a series of delightful animated paintings.

The Cape Town-based artist recreated scenes that she experienced and observed at the festival in lively and often colourful stop-motion animation.

As an architecture student this house Villa Malaparte has always been in my top ten buildings. Brigitte Bardot and Jean- Luc Godard during the filming of “Le Mepris” in Capri, Italy, January 1963 illustrated by @studio_lucie_de_moyencourt. The illustration is from one of our ‘The Art of Behind the Scenes’ image from this year’s collection. The exhibition will be showcased at the @hotelducapedenroc on the night of our Filmmakers dinner. @finchandpartners with their partners @jaegerlecoultre has brought together a show stopping collection.
