Local Design: Daphne Accessories

Cape Town-based Danica Ricciardi is the designer behind Daphne Accessories, a local brand creating pretty limited edition scarves.

“I design all the scarves myself,” says Danica, “but I am looking at collaborating with other local designers.” On her list: Kobie “Koba” Nieuwoudt (who we’ve featured here), Mine Jonker and Chris Moore.

The designs, each of which form part of a limited edition series, are printed and made up in Woodstock in Cape Town. “The concept behind Daphne Accessories is to create wearable art,” says Danica. “The idea is that one can add some character to any outfit by just putting on a scarf.”
