Lee Broom’s Optical Lights

A crisp, graphic black-and-white walk-in scene was a celebration of the retail launch of Lee Broom’s Optical lighting collection at 100% Design in London in 2016.

For one week, the brand’s flagship store was transformed into a postmodern op-art experience with mirrors creating an infinity of geometric pattern and endless opportunity to capture the ultimate designer selfie, which, of course, was the cue all visitors took.

His modern pendant lights are inspired by graphic op-art patterns. Each light is made from powder-coated spun steel and blown from opaque glass. The asymmetry of the black stripes contrasts the spherical globe form and the patterns of the stripes change depending on the angle from which you view them.
