Here is the finished illustration of my imaginary Italian town. I really like how it turned out. (swipe for a closer view). When i paint something i have seen in reality I never paint it like it is. I do my own compositions and simplify it a lot. In the end the result is often just slightly inspired by what I have seen. What about you? Throwback to a sketch i did in Ireland 2 years ago and i still really like.🌳🏡🌳 I wanted to make a little print of it back in time but somehow i forgot about it. What do you think, should i do a print of it now, or should i do a new, bigger illustration out of this sketch and make a print of it, or should i completely forget about this old sketch? 😅 No worries, I am also working on new illustrations to make them as prints.😉

I bought some new watercolors by lukas (1862) and tested them on this little forest painting. I really, really like them. ❤ what are your favourite watercolors? Do you prefer tubes or pans? and any favourite pigments or pigment-mixtures you like to use? (nerd alert😉) for example, i love to mix with cobalt colors and i love to use indigo and caput mortuum 💕💕💕 Or do you prefer dye watercolors? I finally finished this painting today. It took me some time, because i had other work to do in between. Also, I needed a little break from it to get some distance before finishing it. I put these two illustations as limted and numbered giclèe prints into my etsy shop (➡link in Bio) . They are professionally printed with archival pigment ink on wonderful bamboo and cotton watercolor fine art paper for archival fine art prints. . I also want to announce that i have to close my shop for a couple of weeks again, so if you want to buy something, i recommend to do it now, because my shop will be only open until next friday.
