Influx of smart design

“We like designer furniture. We also like things that are simple, sustainable, flexible – practical things.” This how Douwe Jacobs, the co-founder of Flux describes the thinking behind their range of chairs.

The Flux chair and its little sister, the Flux junior are made from one single durable piece of sustainable material designed with curved fold-lines and integrated assembly notches. “We think the folding business is quite clever,” says Douwe, “it means each chair collapses into one and is easy to store, but more importantly it transforms into a stylish design piece”.

When flat the Flux chair looks like a giant envelope but through simple assemblage it is transformed into a futuristic seat, flattered by the eight contemporary colours it is available in. Add a Flux cushion and the comfort level is increased, plus you can mix and match colour options for a fun look.

Flux have also come up with a storage option for their chairs. Once folded you can store up to six chairs or eight Flux juniors against your wall. A stainless steel wall mount hooks the chairs in while a hardy polyester strap holds them down flat. This is a great idea for party hosts, pack away the furniture and let the dancing begin.
