Cape Town’s sixth “hood” is open for submissions in the Name Your Hood campaign. Come up with a new name for the Lower Kloof Street area and you could win R10 000 worth of prizes.
Known for its vibey breakfast spots, nearby Michaelis School of Fine Art and the Labia Theatre, this area is always buzzing with students and creatives.
There have already been 18 submissions, ranging from straight-up geographically referenced names to more creative monikers.
Visit the Name Your Hood website and take a virtual tour of the area, then submit your suggestion or vote for one of the other names you think best describes this trendy neighbourhood.
