The Freeworld Design Centre has invited all those with a fancy for fun to join them at the opening of their latest exhibition ‘Kidults’ tonight.
Featuring Francois van Reenen, I-Jusi Portfolio, Atang of Zabalazaa and the Fringe Arts, whimsy and the days gone by are the order of the day. And if the unveiling of the new pods isn’t enough, artist Paul du Toit will also be there doing live interactive paintings with school children. Attendees will also have the chance o meet award-winning international designer Michael Stein.
This is the fifth interior design exhibition at the Freeworld Design Centre, and besides the fresh colours, creative inspiration and dose of contemporary art and design, we have heard rumours that there will also be a candyfloss machine churning out some sticky sweetness too.
But that’s not all, in the spirit of fun and creativity The Fringe Arts are hosting a series of Kidults workshops over the course of the next month, from cross-stitching with Lauren Fowler to creating leather masterpieces with Vincent Urbain, kidults over the age of 18 are invited to get messy with some of South Africa’s most loved designers. Spaces needed to be booked here.
