Created from a lampshade frame and a tray, and assembled with rope, the Express is an excellent sidekick for bed, sofa or chair.
The French-based design studio Elium say the table was born at the crossroads of ready-made and do-it-yourself. Interestingly, they’re not trying to keep the idea all to themselves. “Anyone can make this side table by combining standard components, with little means, in little time and with a good-quality finish,” say the designers.
The Express offers a simple way to incorporate a wide range of colours and shapes into your space. Plus it’s a designer way to upcycle old trays and lampshades. Brilliant, we say.
