One of VISI’s favourite South African design studios, Dokter and Misses, has launched a clean-lined, understated range of stoneware ceramic vessels.
Made in De Wildt in the North-West province, each piece is glazed and fired at a high temperature to produce a range of hard-wearing stoneware. Cork trimmings are added to the retro-inspired pieces as decoration and as a way to create a protective barrier between the product and the surface on which it’s placed.
De Wildt is a farming community located at the base of the Magaliesburg mountain range.
The collection includes a cookie jar, sugar jar, canister and decanter, as well as egg cups, with prices ranging from R290 for two egg cups to R420 for the cookie jar.
