Nestled in Cape Town’s Kalk Bay, a new store called Kiss Kiss Bang Bang focuses on local designers and makers.
From art and clothing to swimwear, accessories and jewellery, the aim of the store is to express creativity in a collaborative space, promoting ethically sourced materials and unique products.
“Each designer creates something unique while at the same time complementing and supporting each other,” explains founder Keri Muller. “We work collaboratively, so that what is good for one designer will also be good for the other Kiss Kiss Bang Bang members as a whole.”
The light and bright space houses Sitting Pretty, Anon, Black Betty, Steffany Roup, Simple Intrigue and Grace Swims – Keri’s fabulous swimwear brand – in its portfolio, as well as stocking Wren Design and Praia sunglasses.
We specifically chose Kalk Bay as it still maintains a wonderful sense of community within a village,” says Keri. “People are out on the street walking and chatting, which gives a sense of life one doesn’t get in a shopping mall. All the locals know each other and are fiercely loyal to the shops and restaurants in the area.”
Visit the store at 36 Main Road, Kalk Bay, Cape Town, and follow them on Instagram here.
