Talented artist Blandine Lamy, who hails from the Basque Country, creates colourful works of art inspired by the countries she’s lived in around the world.

Having studied at EPSAA, a Parisian school specialising in graphic art, Blandine takes inspiration from her childhood travels and scenes she’s spotted while on holiday. She creates works that mix both figurative and abstract styles, making use of white space to highlight elements within her illustrations. “I love using colours” she tells VISI, adding that mixing and matching colours to create warm illustrations is one of the ways in which she likes to work.

More recently, she completed her first mural after a friend (and street art fan) from EPSAA suggested they work together to create a large-scale piece. “It was a great experience – I am actually working on a wood wall in my own house,” she says.

You can buy Blandine’s prints directly through her (follow her on Instagram and DM her for details) or through Paris-based online art store Sergeant Paper.
