Bubble wrap a bad view

If you want to block out an unattractive view but still allow light through a non-opening window, this is a quick solution inspired by Patricia Urquiola’s Caboche Light for Foscarini.

What you’ll need:

• 4 strips of transparent 3M Dual-Lock self-adhesive velcro tape (available at Builders Warehouse)

• A sheet of bubble wrap (with large bubbles) measured to the size of your window

This is how:

Cut a sheet of bubble wrap to the size of the window recess.

Remove the protective film from one side of each of the four self-adhesive velcro strips and apply the strips to the four corners of the window.

Now, working clockwise from the top, remove the top protective film from each self-adhesive strip and carefully apply the bubble wrap to the corners of the window, taking care that it fits snugly and is not over-stretched.

• Caboche Light available at Créma Design.
