Los-Angeles-based sculptor Brian Rochefort uses mixed media, ceramics and glazes to create textured abstract objects.
The mixed media artist makes his one-off vessels by using unfired clay pieces, which he then breaks apart and rebuilds, firing between each step of the process.
His work, which juxtaposes smooth and shiny sections with rough and jagged areas, is reminiscent of craters and volcanic masses, solidified with added colour and texture, giving them an otherworldly appearance.
See more of his work on Instagram or via his website.
