Claudia Schiffer’s dreamy ‘Cloudy Butterflies’ collection for Bordallo Pinheiro has arrived in South Africa.

Supermodel and long-time art and design enthusiast, Claudia Schiffer, has lent her artistic vision to Bordallo Pinheiro’s new ‘Cloudy Butterflies’ collection. Now available in South Africa, this much anticipated collection blends Bordallo Pinheiro’s distinctive naturalist style with Schiffer’s love of the Rhine countryside.

Bordallo Pinheiro is a world-renowned Portuguese earthenware ceramics and tableware brand with a rich heritage. It was founded in 1884 by Raphael Bordallo Pinheiro, an artist and sculptor, best known for his eccentric style and nature-inspired designs – qualities that shine through in the brand’s pieces to this day.

Claudia Schiffer, a self-confessed Bordallo Pinheiro devotee, has been collecting the brand’s ceramics for years. “I am delighted to collaborate with their teams and contribute my ideas. I can’t wait to see the pieces from the collection in my home,” says Claudia. The collection, which features delicate hand-painted butterflies, presents a series of dreamy, functional art pieces.

The collection draws inspiration from the butterflies of the Rhine area where Schiffer grew up and is as much a celebration of her roots as of her unique artistic vision.
