Just launched by Christa Botha and Carla Erasmus in 2014, this Cape Town-based online shop stocks carefully created (and curated) furniture items and decor accessories. 

They explain: ‘Bofred came about in a very organic way. Our friendship evolved into a company because of our collective appreciation for beautifully crafted and designed pieces. We take great care in selecting and creating our exclusive collection of interior items and furniture, each designed or lovingly restored by us. The end result is an eclectic mix of vibrant colours, rich textures and one-of-a-kind artistic pieces.’

From Todd side tables (R300) to ‘50s wingback chairs in blue velvet (R4 800), this is the perfect spot for a vintage enthusiast to start a collection or find a statement piece.

Bofred has also launched Shop For a Cause. Items are created in collaboration with crafters from Epilepsy SA and Sisters 4 Sisters. A percentage of the proceeds are reallocated to support upliftment within these groups.
