We are smitten with furniture designer and maker Andrew Dominic’s new Signature range.
After training at David Savage in North Devon, one of the UK’s most respected furniture design schools, Andrew worked with many prestigious clients, including the likes of Heals of London, before moving from his native England to Cape Town back in 2009.
Since then, this champion of traditional and yet contemporary craftsmanship has focused on creating for private commissions and custom interiors. His client list has grown to include some of SA’s leading interior design companies and entrepreneurs, including some firm VISI favourites that we’ve featured in previous issues, such as interior decorator and stylist Tracy Lee Lynch, perfumer Tammy Frazer and designer Aidan Bennetts.
Now, in addition to the private commissions, Andrew has created the new Signature range, a collection of limited-edition pieces that carry through the brand’s aesthetic, attention to detail, and dedication to authentic design. In addition to this, Andrew has also produced a homeware range, which includes pieces like carafes and trivets. The homeware collection is available in Cape Town at Stable and at the V&A Waterfront’s Watershed.
