In VISI 74 we featured Stuart Tolley’s Collector’s Edition (Thames & Hudson). We were honoured that VISI’s I Love DIY issue (VISI 64) was featured in a book highlighting the best in graphic design and packaging in the music, magazine and book industries across the globe. Stuart has now taken his clever idea one step further.
In order to raise funds for the Alzheimer’s Society in the UK, Stuart asked some of the world’s most influential artists, musicians and designers to each ‘cover bomb’ a copy of the book.
The nine (extra) special editions feature drawings from Sir Paul McCartney, Nick Cave, Stanley Donwood (the man behind Radiohead’s artwork), Peter Gabriel, Jessica Hische, The Designers Republic, Alec Soth, Wayne Coyne (of The Flaming Lips) and Oliver Jeffers. There will also be one handmade edition by Robert ‘3D’ Del Naja of Massive Attack.
They are currently on auction until 12 December 2014.
