WORDS: Michelle Coburn
The F-Cell roadster is the F-Series concept car from Mercedes-Benz.
Large spoked wheels, carbon-fibre bucket seats with hand-stitched leather covers and a fibreglass front section reminiscent of Formula One racing components combine to create a retro-futuristic prototype.
Thanks to the emission-free fuel cell system at the rear, this slick hydrogenpowered concept car reaches a top speed of 25km/h and has an operating range of up to 350km.
We love it for the lessons it gives in alternative-energy design.
