Fancy braai

It’s a long weekend and Monday is National Braai Day! This unique braai from Spain was designed specifically for the fancy patterns it leaves on your yummy charred meat.

The work of Mermeladaestudio in Barcelona, the braai is called Druida after the large kettles druids used to prepare their magic spells. The painted iron bowl and legs are coupled with African Acajou wood to create an elegant look, as if it was a piece of furniture.

A few weeks ago we also featured the South African-design Braai Cube and in the new SPRING FLING edition of VISI, we show the Big Green Egg, which is inspired by an ancient Asian style of barbecuing and the ceramic material was created by NASA for space rockets.
