Forget lumpy velour armchairs. The new alvisilkchair by Swedish company, alvidesign, has brought elegance back to this traditional piece of furniture.
The silk threads, bound around the oak frame, are environmentally friendly and very appealing.
This unconventional piece of furniture creates the perception of weightlessness while lighting cast on the silk threads produces shadow play, increasing the intrigue of the chair.
At 100cm high, 65cm wide and 80cm long, the Alvi Silkchair has moderate proportions. However, it won’t fail to make a huge statement.
