VISI deputy editor Annemarie Meintjies reports back on Salone del Mobile 2012 in Milan, sharing another of her personal highlights from the world’s biggest and best furniture fair.
Successful Living from DIESEL teamed up with MOROSO and Foscarini, creating an installation that reinvented the idea of domestic landscapes. A ‘moon mirror’ hangs above a sofa in a jacquard print of the remains of ancient Rome and a Piston table with a fabric lamp as comforting as your favourite pair of jeans. The result was spellbinding: avant garde, yet familiar and inviting at the same time. A definite highlight of the show.
