Toy time

It is a certain fact that you can never go wrong with a toy or two to inject some fun into your living space. And now you need look no further than to Cape Town artist and designer, The Given, for a new take on the designer toy.

“Keg O’Boom” is the realisation of years worth of ideas, planning and hard work by Abe Viljoen. A Super Limited Edition figure, the design stands out as South Africa’s first locally produced and manufactured designer resin toy, of which no more than 50 will be produced. Hand moulded and cast in white resin from The Given’s original sculpt, the piece will be available during a pre-order period of 1 month until 18^th May.

To add to the fun, 1 in 4 pieces will be rare glow in the dark variants, with some ultra rare hand painted figures amongst the 50. Each one comes packaged, so until you open it you won’t know what you have.

Abe Viljoen is a graphic designer by trade, but has been involved in the vinyl toy scene for several years, taking part in numerous custom toy shows and most recently at the customisation clinic at the Design Indaba.
