Aglow with great design

Atelier Areti’s 2011 light collection has taken us on a trip to the forest. The bird and acorn motifs are our favourites – reminding us that spring really has sprung.

The design studio, which is made up of product designers, artisans and architects seeks out the best craftsmen in Europe to design and create their products, and their latest offerings are no exception.

The Acorn metal and glass pendant lights are a real cracker. Simple design with a variety of colours and materials means they look great alone or grouped together.

The same goes for the Alouette bird lamps, which eminate light from their conical tails. The birds seem as if they have just swooped in to shed some light or catch up with friends. The Alouette makes use of a multi-angle joint at the foot of the bird allowing the lamp to rotate in various directions.

Expert craftsmanship and technical precision resulted in the decorative but functional Kirchschlag Collection. A team of glassblowers, engravers and lighting professionals came together to create this orb of details and light. Akin to a piece of jewellery, the Kirchschlag Collection is a work of art, but it has a function.

The Gris Collection is a continuation of Kirchschlag, also having had a team of experts to perfect it. This collection is made by combining layers of grey and clear crystal glass, which adds lustre and depth to the body of the light.

Atelier Areti illuminates the international lighting scene, combining artisanal skill with contemporary aesthetics and old-world elegance. Are you as impressed as we are?
