Fishing for compliments

Earn some style cred with your pictures and your ultra-cool camera. At last, ugly point-and-shoot cameras are a thing of the past. Enter La Sardinia: the new super-wide-angle, tinned-fish-inspired lomography camera.

The newest addition to the Lomographic Society’s stock celebrates the love of photography and retro design.

This simple point-and-shoot camera will make an excellent first analogue camera – even if the flashy designs of the four models hint otherwise. The four styles – El Capitan, Fischer’s Fritze, Seapride and Marathon – were inspired by simple sardine cans.

“We created a camera that cherishes the fashion, design and style of maritime dreams while taking beautiful wide angle pictures on 35mm film,” says the Lomographic Society.

The creativity of the outside is mirrored on the inside of each camera. The design boasts a wide-angle plastic lens and a celebrated ringflash.

El Capitan and Fisher’s Fritze are equipped with Fritz the Blitz, featuring yellow, red and blue filters, which will drench your photos in light and colour. La Sardinia is a pocket-sized analogue designed to accompany the photographer on lomographic adventures. We suggest that the harbour, fish market or aquarium be your first port of call…
