Oh my polygon! Hexagons are cropping up everywhere in the design world.
From flat patterns to three-dimensional structures, it seems designers are catching on to the six-sided shape you’ll find in nature as honeycomb and snowflakes. VISI spotted hexagonal designs on homeware, beehive-inspired felt wall tiles, lamps, lights, furniture and carpets.
Is it a classic case of bio-mimicry or are designers relishing the challenge of working with the unconventional? Whatever the answer, it seems hexagonal is definitely the shape of things to come.
