The Restaurant & Bar Design Awards is arguably the most influential global design competition specifically dedicated to food and beverage environments. Now in its 17th year, this prestigious event honours and applauds the most innovative venues and the brilliant minds responsible for bringing them to life.
There are five categories for each of the five regions of the world – Americas, Asia, Australia & Pacific, Europe, Middle East & Africa – and fourteen global categories that are not region-specific.
Here, in no particular order, are 23 of our favourite shortlisted designs from the regional categories, which include:
- Cafe: a space that predominantly serves coffee, tea, etc.
- Hotel: a food and beverage space within a hotel.
- In Another Space: hospitality spaces in anything, from ships to airports, museums to burger vans and trains to cinemas.
- Standalone: a food and beverage space that’s not part of a chain.
- Surface Interiors: how surfaces such as walls, ceilings and floors come together in creating a food and beverage space.
