New Collaboration: @home X Gavin Rajah

South African designer Gavin Rajah has teamed up with @home to launch a brand-new collaborative collection, entitled Prêt À Vivre.

For Gavin, the collaboration is “a natural progression from fashion to homeware.” The limited edition collection, of which there are only 400 units, is made up of a French-inspired linen range, as well as hand-poured massage candles.

The 400 thread count Egyptian cotton linen, which has been locally manufactured and intricately hand-embroidered with vintage floral embellishments, draws from Gavin’s latest couture creations and Spring/Summer 2018 fashion trends, while aiming to remain timeless and functional.

The hand-poured massage candles, named Versailles, La Belle Époque and Rajahstan, are inspired by Gavin’s love for travel, alternative healing methods and flowers. Made from 100% soy wax and a combination of essential oils, the candle, once melted, can be used as a moisturiser and massage oil. “We wanted to create something that inspires and facilitates the customer’s wellbeing, particularly their sleep experience, and the creation of their own sanctuaries where they can relax and de-stress,” says Gavin.

The collection is available for pre-order online until 31 August 2017. It will launch in store on 23 November 2017. For more information, visit home.co.za.
