In this meditative time lapse of a 1 000-colour jigsaw puzzle being built, hands work together to piece together the rainbow ombre hues that make up the final picture.
This visual treat, created by German designer Clemens Habicht, measures 50 cm x 70 cm, with each piece of the puzzle a separate solid colour. Once completed, you are able to see a full CMYK gamut.
And for those of you who think 1 000 colours is too easy, there’s a 5 000 colour version too. “This one is for all those who wrote and said that 1 000 COLOURS wasn’t a challenge,” says Clemens. “Multiplying the number of pieces by a magnitude of five makes the difference in hue between neighbouring tiles barely perceptible.”
