12 Paper Artworks By Aurelie Cerise

COMPILED BY Lindi Brownell Meiring

Paris-based paper artist Aurelie Cerise creates colourful 3D paper artworks of food, flowers and everything in between.

She started constructing pieces from paper as a means to distract from the chaos of her daily life, working as a pharmacist. “When I cut paper, it helps me to calm and focus,” she wrote on Instagram. “My favourite part is the process of cutting and building. It can takes hours and I sometimes feel a little bit nostalgic when I finish one. If someone had told me that one day I would become a paper designer, I would have laughed. It’s been 6 months since I left my corporate career, I work hard and I learn every day. Never, never lose your dreams.”

We picked 12 of our favourites from Aurelie’s beautiful curated Instagram feed for you to browse.

My kind of creative sunday #whpinthestudio You know my love for paper craft. In my studio, i always keep preciously all the shapes i cut. Even the tinest. They are my treasures. When i cut paper, it helps me to calm and focus, my favorite part is the process of cutting And building. It can takes hours and I sometimes feel a little bit nostalgic when i finish one. I’ve cut these autumn leaves these days.
