Bree Street: Run Specialist Store

The new Run Specialist Store on Cape Town’s Bree Street is designed around finding the right shoe for your running style.

The concept was derived from North LTD, while Dean West from SPACE headed up the technical drawings and implementation of the idea. Run is built around the fact that each runner is unique, something that is reflected in the store’s interior.

Half of the store is focused on road running on cement and tar, while the other half is dedicated to trail running through gravel and wood. A five metre bench made from cement and pine divides the space into the two sections. The store has an environmentally friendly outlook, using naturally fallen Norfolk pine from Constantia for the interiors.

The shop also consists of a slick black running lab where customers can test shoes to find their perfect style and fit.
